As the most widely recognized long distance surfcaster in the world, Neil holds three personal World championships, fourteen British individual championships, the 2000 US Open national championship title and more. He has students around the World that have benefited from his techniques.

With over 20 years of experience in competitive casting he is still giving demonstrations around the world, including Europe, USA, Japan, Korea and Iceland.

Neil's most recent twist was casting a baseball from home plate to outfield in front of over 20,000 people at the famous Camden Yard ball park in Baltimore in 2002.

As a surf reel designer he worked with Penn Reels to develop the now famous Penn 525 reel series. His rod designs include the Penn PPT, which he used to win the US open in 2000.

Neil's long distance surf casting videos are the standard for casters across the globe. His latest video “Going the Distance” is the basis of this clinic. His magazine articles and videos covering rig design and casting techniques have made his students winners from the shore and on the casting field. Neil’s lifetime personal best cast is over 890 feet.
